Panasonic is happy to produce Lumix digital camera, 8.1-megapixel DMC-TZ4, boasting a 28mm wide-angle 10x optical zoom Leica DC lens (equivalent to 28-280mm on a 35mm film camera). The 28mm wide angle lens picks out the framed picture wider from the same standpoint than normal 35mm camera does and you can zoom in or out to magnify a distant subject when you wish with the 10x optical zoom.

The iA (Intelligent Auto) mode, which is made up of 5 shooting-assist functions; Mega O.I.S., Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Detection and Quick AF functions. These features can enjoy easy, trouble-free shooting in any situation and get the satisfaction that comes with taking succinct images.

The high performance image processing LSI has newly entered its fourth generation, to be reborn as Venus Engine IV to assure higher quality images with an advanced signal processing system.

The DMC-TZ4 boasts an Intelligent LCD function, that detects the lighting condition and controls the brightness level of the LCD in 11 fine steps, to offer a display with most appropriate clarity in any situation with recently developed 230,000-dot in 2.5-inch. Panasonic has stepped into the world of high definition videos by means of the Lumix DMC-TZ4.

The Lumix DMC-TZ4 has a 28 mm wide-angle setting to fit widespread landscapes into one single frame, and a 9-megapixel sensor to capture even the subtlest details in facial expressions. It is equipped with a 10x optical zoom, which has a high sensitivity range going up to 6400 ISO and a light detection system with many levels.

In the past are the days of problems caused by backlighting and overexposure, because the Panasonic TZ4 comes with a Mega O.I.S image stabiliser and a 9-point AF focus, meaning you can pinpoint faces in photos and ensure subject's natural skin tones are kept.

For backgrounds, the DMC-TZ4 features an intelligent flash with red eye reduction and slow synchronisation modes, that help to prevent colour alteration. There are also many scene, colour and automatic modes, which let you to really explore your creative side. It is also compatible with Pictbrige, the Lumix DMC-TZ4 also has an HD audio/video output so you can enjoy your creations on an HD TV using an optional component video cable.
