Given the versatile reach and range of the 24x zoom lens, you are certain to find yourself wanting to shoot from the hip, or from a higher angle. That is why, as well as its electronic viewfinder, the em>Nikon Coolpix P90 boasts a three inch high resolution vari-angle LCD with anti reflection coating. You can tilt the LCD upward as much as ninety degrees, or forty five degrees downward.

Advanced shooting modes (P, S, A, and M). The mode dial gives quick access to greater personal control with using the camera and rich creative possibilities offered by Programmed Auto [P], Shutterpriority Auto [S], Aperture-priority Auto [A], and Manual [M] exposure modes.

ISO 6400 capability light sensitivity range up to ISO 6400* creates new opportunities to take crisper, more natural looking pictures in lower light conditions, or when capturing fast moving subjects. ISO 3200 and 6400 can only be used for image sizes of 3M (2048 x 1536) or smaller.

This Nikon P90 boasts 15 frames per second high speed capability. Sport Continuous Mode allows you to shoot as many as 45 consecutive pictures at 15 fps to stay ahead of most any action scene you want to capture. Furthermore, the pre-shooting cache option enables you to record as many as ten frames just before releasing the shutter. Feature available only for image sizes of 3M (2048 x 1536) or smaller.

The generous 3" vari-angle LCD screen can be tilted upwards by up to 90 degrees, or downwards by up to 45 degrees. The monitor also has an anti-reflection coating.

The 4 times anti-blur automatically counters blurred images in four separate ways. Sensor-shift VR (Vibration Reduction) reduces the danger of the camera shaking. High ISO (up to 6400*) light sensitivity reduces the risk of blurred images with fast moving subjects or in poor light. Motion detection makes up for camera and subject movement. Best Shot Selector (BSS) automatically selects the sharpest of up to ten sequential shots.

High-speed continuous shooting with pre-shooting cache allows you to shoot up to 45 continuous shots at fifteen frames per second. It also gives you the option to press the shutter half way and record the moments that take place before you press the shutter fully, so that you never have to be concerned about being a little bit too late any more.

12.1 megapixel resolution allows you to capture outstandingly detailed images, crop creatively and end up with stunningly precise poster size enlargements.

Advanced Face priority (AF) with in-camera red-eye fix allows you to quickly detect and focus precisely on up to 12 faces in the frame, and also corrects false eye color due to flash the moment you take the shot.

Quick Retouch lets you enhance pixtures taken under poor conditions so they appear sharp and vibrant. The original image stays intact and the camera quickly produces a duplicate image with the best balance of saturation and contrast.

D-lighting in the Nikon Coolpix P90 produces very pleasant results by correcting strong shadows to rescue under exposed pictures or shots taken with too much backlight.
